Back in the day they were called more exotic terms like 'vents' and 'holes in your hood'. The Firehawk has 'em (not that I care) but it doesn't seem like a bad idea.
Would hood vents make enough difference to be worthwhile, and is there a tasteful way to do it that wouldn't look like a stick-on-ricer-plastic-nasty?
I think hood vents would look cool like the type on the Jaguar XKR, or a 1968 Shelby Mustang. Though, you must remember that when you wash your car, or it rains (If you drive yours in the rain) that the Opti would be toast. :smash:

Actually you can buy special replacement hoods with em already in there. By the way, those Greenwoods kick serious AZZ!!!!!!!!I love the vented shark/snake look. Looks similar the replacements on my sidevents. They'd go kick azz together. I think I'm gonna have that done in the near future. That Greenwood hood just looks so kick azz...........everything except that stupid azz hash mark. LOL. :mad
scorp, do you know what it says on the raised part of the hood?
Also, if they're functional, how would you wash it, or drive in the rain  . It would be cool if you could seal them from the underside with an insert or something.
Thanks Raysur. My car sounds mean with the dual exhaust and Borlas. I think the outside looks good, but I'm looking for something to make it look meaner. The vents would be a good start.

I honestly forget. He is a local guy and a complete poser. The car is a supercharged 383 with nitrous that makes something stupid like 650 horsepower supposedly. He has never touched the drivetrain. It is completely stock. If he put the hammer down once it would probably shatter. He only goes to cruise nights, never races it.

They are. Like another said there are baffels underneath that capture any water and dump it into the wheel well behind the wheel.
Thanks Scorp. Poser or no poser, that things nice. I like everything but the seat covers. Looks like he has the same decal on the rear bumper as he does on the hood. I think it says Nitrous something.
