1989 'Vette Injector Replacement
there are a couple you-tube videos, that give you a rough outline of the task involved. search" L98 injector replacement." don't know if you have replacement injectors, but if you don't, contact (forum member) Jon at FIC. Jon can set you up with a set of boschIII's and gaskets for around $200.
There are two methods:
1 - Remove the plenum. Disassemble the fuel rails (remove the cross connecting tubes). Remove and replace injectors. Reassemble everything.
2 - Remove the plenum and runners. Now you can remove the fuel rails as an assembly. Remove and replace injectors. Reassemble everything.
If you do method 2 watch out for the various lengths of the bolts (there are 3 different lengths). It's easy to get confused about which one goes where.

If you use method 2 it will make the job much easier. If you still have the stock injectors in your car, then all the rail O-rings are over 20 years old and should be replaced anyway, so this method makes the most sense. . You also eliminate the problem of getting a vaccuam leak at the runner/intake when using method 2 because you never touch the gaskets ..You may also want to consider replacing the "fuel pressure regulator diaphram" while you have the plenum off , there's no better time to do it........
