You've potentially several issues! The $200 tag maybe isn't as good as it may seem. Are the wheels chromed or polished? You need to get the sizing (width - diameter - offset) to actually evaluate the buy also.
Your "powder-coat" in white won't generally work well because they can't likely "color-match" the white. Mismatched "white" wheels look terrible.
There's much information needed to make a "wise decision"!
I like the look of 5 spoke wheels on C4's and I can pick these up for $200. (I know Ill need adapters). Was thinking about powdercoating them and maybe ending up with this.
Good price on Y2Ks, they're worth $500+ depending on the tires, especially to the early C5 guys. You'd be ahead reselling them and getting the wheels you want. 1" spacers should do it

I don't care for C5 wheels on C4's.....much too "wanna'be".
I like the white on white; very Euro. I have a white Scirocco with white wheels. They've been on the car since 2001. Brake dust is not an issue; it shows up on white wheels far less than it does on black or polished. Besides, that's what they make soap and water for.
That is a pretty good price on the wheels if they are in good shape.
I have some of those on my C5 and I like them. The stock C5 was polished not chrome. I like the polished rather than painted/powercoated.
Be cautious if you buy them. It is not too common, but enough so that there are a number of posts in the C5 section that they can crack where the spoke meets the outer rim. Look closely at that area on each wheel before you buy. I have had 3 sets and never had a problem, but some people have.
Also be aware that the 18" rears are going to be taller than the fronts. I tried some of the early C5 (wagon wheels) on my '94 and I didn't like the feel of being higher in back. If you are keeping the stock tires (Goodyear Eagle F1 runflats) they are very stiff (and probably old too). I didn't like the feel of those on my '94 either.

Thank you for the information! I am a little concerned about the price. The guy said they are in average condition, not show quality. The tires are shot and need replacing. He is supposed to be sending me more pictures today. I will be sure to check for cracks if I can go and look at them.
Nice looking rims. We have a white on white rims here in my area car looks sharp. IMHO black looks cheap and is getting very old, ie.. kid with a beater and walmart spray can is what I see no matter the car model.

Part of me likes it and part of me thinks it's too much white. So what do you guys think?
Just a thought but by the time to buy adapters you could probably piece together a set of these ZR1 wheels for near the same money. If you decided to go black you can buy these new (especially if the buy AFS blems) and be near the same money as the C5 wheels, adapters, and powdercoating (17s though not 18s).
But your car, your money, your choise.
Good luck with what ever you decide.

I have a blast cabinet and powdercoat oven so it wont cost me anything but powder.
Everything is on hold at the moment since I just got home from the hospital with 2 kidney stones

Hey feel better! It's good to hear you can save yourself some of the expense but right now the most important thing is for you to get well!
[QUOTE=Dt86;1586077056]Thanks man. It sucks! 600 motrin and percocets help but its still painful.[
Those are one of my favorite wheels and think they would look awesome. I'm not an authority but its my understanding that its tough to get stuff to stick to chrome. May be a chore to get the chrome off. I'll save you some time and give you $250 for them....
