Both my seat tip in toward each other. The jack behind the driver's seat is not interfering. My floor is not damaged.
You will see in this photo with the seat out and level across the seat, the seat frame is not flat on the workbench. There are not matching undulations on the floor to account to such a discrepancy in the "feet" of the seat frame. Is it possible the motorized mechanics of the seat need adjusted and/or balanced? In other words, could the left and right seat rails be out of level with each other requiring adjustment?
Get under your car and look at the floor pans. A lot of time what happens is the previous owners take their car in for service, and they use a 2 post lift and put the lift points under the floor pans instead of on the jacking points. This will dent the floor pans and make the seats tilt inward. I have heard you can bang them flat from inside the car with a rubber mallet if that is indeed the problem.

. The mallet trick will work, use a piece of wood against the high area on the floor and then strike with the mallet. The floor area in question is not fiberglass. Do a search, very common topic and remedy.
I had the same issue. What Targa said above is probobly the issue. For me there was some slight indentation from the floor. But an additional problem now is the rails on the seats themselves are very bent. Same as yours. It's been awhile and I dont recall if I was able to bang out the dents completly. The dents were very small anyway. It was hard to believe they would tilt the seats so much..Even if you do bang them out, you may need to do the washer thing anyway because of your rails. Thats what I did. When I get a chance I hope to post before and after pics.

I've got my seats out, since I'm installing Corbeau's. I put my seat base on a confirmed-flat surface. All four mounting points on the base sit flat on the surface.
Your base is tweaked, which means if it was bolted to your floor at all four points, then the floor is tweaked, too.
Ive banged the floor back to pretty flat. I reinstalled the driver seat and its MUCH better. Still not perfect but much improved. Any suggestions on straightening the rails? I hate to mess up the power seat.

Maybe, but first remove the four bolts holding the seat pan/bottom from the power rack.
Set the rack back on the floor studs.
Then align the seat pan with the proper bolt holes** and snug those bolts.
Now remove the assembly and set it back on the table.
Is it sitting flat this time?
NOTE ** there are two holes per corner.
Find the right combination this time....
Or you can beat the hell out of the floor pan and break something else

There is one hole per corner on my '96's power racks. The racks are separated from the seat pan/bottom.
ercriss: the stock seats sold to a forum member two weeks ago, and the APC Sport seats that I just revmoved from the car have been spoken for (also by a forum member) but not paid for yet. I'll PM you if you are interested in aftermarket sports seats and the present deal falls through.

My 86 had the extra holes.
When I was rebuilding the power rails this mistake was made causing for a head scratching session.
My fix was as I described.
