Your build is looking great! I know what you mean about how long these can take to finish in both time and dollars. It is about quality and self satisfaction for me personally and I can see that in your build as well.
I restored a 1959 in the 80s that took about 5 total years and lots of $$$$. When it was completed it was all worth it.

builds like that always take money and time, especially if you don't have the money to compress the time
looks very cool, I think it will be worth it, to me it would

That is one beautifully built engine you have these, the attention to detail on this build is incredible. I can't stop looking at the way the sunlight gleams off the silver Chevrolet lettering on the valve covers - this thing looks absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to see where this build ends up going - please keep posting pictures of this! You're doing a great job!

Thanks....The carb is as tricked out as i can go. Jet extensions on all 4 jets (rear plate converted to secondary metering block).I milled the choke tower off, and polished the bores. Ive done a few carbs this way and they work awesome. Even the first time it ran it started right up and idled (20" vac)...I set up the fuel lines for FI down the road (maybe). Also welded an O2 bung to each collector, and have provisions for any add-on sensors. Fuel pump (not pictured yet) is where the spare tire was, along with a spin on filter. So a swap to EFI would take a Saturday if i go that route. See what happens....

Can you post some information on the indicator -- this sounds exactly what I need. With the B&M Pro Stealth Ratchet I have I sometimes need to give it a little tap on the pedal to make sure I'm moving (or not....) in the correct direction

Thought i posted a pic of what i made, but looked and didnt see it....Basically i took the cable from my shifter (B and M Mega shifter for a 4th gen f-body), and attached it to a piece i made. Its a piece of lexan, with 7 solid brass terminals glued into it. Each wire is soldered into the brass. When the spring loaded brass terminal glides over the other 7, it triggers the corresponding light on the dash. So ill always know what gear im in. Ill get a pic up soon.
