Default Looking for FSM #1

While shopping for the FSMs for my 94 I'm finding the white cover preliminary manuals as well as the normal red cover manuals. Are there significant differences or are they pretty much the same?

I have the red ones for my 88 and the white one for my 91. Haven't seen a 'lot' of differences between the two except for needing a 2 wheeler to move the white one around.

The white one you have for your '91 is a "reprint" that Helm attempted some time back around '02 or so and it didn't make many very happy. Your "white" is complete and the one I believe the OP is mentioning are all noted as being "preliminary". Unless it was ridiculously inexpensive I'd avoid a "preliminary" and go for the RED

Ther's a '94 FSM set for sale here in the C4 Parts For Sale section. Both books with the red cover.

Thanks for the input guys. I already picked up FSM #2 from another member here so really just need #1. I came across a preliminary for $30 but wasn't sure if it was a good idea or not.

The '94 in the link by "C4cruiser" appear to be in very good condition and I'd likely purchase a set in that condition and either use the Book 2 that you have as a "shop/working copy" or after getting the set offer the Book 2 as a separate sale. The ask in the link is quite reasonable I'd think and your Book 2 sale should recover some of that. If you paid a lot for Book 2 then consider it lesson learned.
