go enclosed! i just got on the internet, got quotes and looked at their complaint record. this was 3 years ago, no problems, kept me in the loop while in transit and delivery schedule. they even caught a scuff the dealer missed but the dealer made good.
Give us a call for a quote and we will take good care of you! We are one of the top rated auto transport brokers in the country with over 10 years of experience.
One thing to keep in mind,a shipping broker is a middle man, they shop around for the best price and thats who will ship your car.The cost to ship a car runs a couple hundred $ to alot.I went with Intercity Lines and was 100% happy with the service, paid top dollar but wanted my car with no excuses from the shipper.Back to the brokers,Ive heard horror stories about cars sitting for months in a storage yard while in transit, you get what you pay for.

We have a list of hundreds upon hundreds of carriers that we have shipped cars with over the course of 10 years and have filtered out only the best. We actually have a "DO NOT USE" list of carriers we have had bad experiences with and do not do further business with. We also do not do business with brand new trucking companies. While we may not be the cheapest broker to ship a car with, we certainly take good care of our customers and their vehicles. You get what you pay for like you said. The broker industry has become very corrupt and our mission statement is to become the most reliable car transporting solution. Give us a try.

I would recommend the company I work for: Precision Motor Transport Group. We have enclosed haulers and do special move requests at times. (I drive a 9-hauler enclosed)
We carry some of the world's most prestigious cars daily to dealerships. Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Audi to name a few.
Other companies that are enclosed that you may find more suitable or better off logistically and haul other exotics like Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls-Royce.
Reliable
Select1
and Horseless Carriage
Hope this helps...Good luck with whatever carrier you decide
Looking to ship my car from Fort Myers Florida to Long Island. Any recommendations for a shipper?
Retxpres,
Intercity Lines will be glad to give you a Corvette Forum rate on your move. Please let us know what make and model vehicle and we will be glad to shoot you over a price for fully enclosed, insured, lift gate loading and door to door transport.
Well so far I got two quotes. First was for $1350 and second was for $1500. Looks like I may be drive her back to Long Island. Originally I was thinking around $700. I am not even in the same the ball park...
Rent a Tahoe from Enterprise, rent a trailer from U haul cover really well and drive it back yourself. Cut down the wear and tear on the vette should cost less than 500.00 check long range weather forecast for 3 good days, and stop over in North Carolina,
I have not used a transport company but have driven vehicles some distance before. One was from Los Angeles, Calif and the other was from Albuquerque, N.M., both driven to Minnesota. Yes it's possible to drive for less than transporting but you have to add in all the cost.
You have the expected things like time, fuel, food, lodging, etc for the drive, plus if you have anything mechanical happen. You also have to add in the cost of getting back once the vehicle is there, assuming it's not a one way trip. It may not work out quite as cheap to drive if you add in all the costs.
I wanted to see some of those areas of the country plus I had vacation time to burn so driving was first on my list, plus I work for an airline so the trip out was covered. Both methods have merit, just depends on your needs.
the broker I ended up using was united auto mover in Clearwater fl. the guy had a joisey accent. the actual mover was distinguished transportation, llc out of Snellville, ga and the total cost was $625 from Hendricks Chevrolet in Buford, ga to my door in conroe, tx. it went in an enclosed trailer on top, first one in. I was very pleased with the service and information given to me from the car was getting picked up to the delivery at home.
