A couple of months ago I got a 91 at a really good price. Appearance wise it is OK except for some very strange scratches on the front bumper around the running lights.
Well yesterday I was picking the car up from the shop and we got to talking about the car. I said I was curious about how the damage was just around the hole where the light was. The guy that runs the shop said it was dog damage. What! He said he had seen it before. If the car is stored where a dog can get to it, if the dog gets bored they will chew on the car. If you look closely you can see where the teeth went thru the paint and into the cover.
Moral of the story, Don't leave your car and dog together, he may see it as a Milk Bone.
I am guessing that mine was someone that tied the dog up close to the car and the dog got bored. I never would have ever considered this, but Paul said he had seen it several times. He has only been working on these cars for 25+ years so I do listen to him.
My dog knows to keep away from my "vette" unless we go for a drive.
If you think dogs can do damage think again!!, this is a miniature horse in my vette!!!! was a photo my other half Cheryl wanted to do.
I took the seat foam out, and was hiding in the car holding the horse so it didn't try and jump out. was a very calm horse.
Nice for Mustang owners, a mustang that prefers a Corvette.
You just scored brownie points with my wife! She just said that is a guy who loves his dog so he must be a good person! Didn't hurt she likes small dogs as well.....
We lost our two ankle biters this past two years.....they got old ......... God rest their souls.......
