Cooling temp advice
I just replaced my radiator in my 1995 Lt1 because it was leaking. It was the original radiator and very dirty as would be expected. After replacing it with a stock AC Delco radiator my usual temp of between 201-203 dropped to 194-196 on the highway. A week or so later I developed a leak at the water pump outlet neck that the bleeder screw is on so I replaced it with a new outlet. I refilled the system with 50/50 coolant bled the system running it three times per FSM.. Now my temp is back to 201-203. Any suggestions as to why this has happened? The thermostat is new 180 and everything on the engine is stock, no after market upgrades. Water pump is about two months old and upper reservoir tank pressure cap is about a year old.
