SYS - Courtesy Light question
Two weeks ago I went with a buddy to pick up a 93 Ruby, auto 100K that he bought. Driving it home I noticed the sys light flashing near the speedo display. As it turned out the battery was bad so he changed that, alternator was charging fine. We thought that would clear the sys but it didn't, oddly enough it does not flash when the drivers door is open. Also the courtesy lights in the door panel only come on when the dimmer switch is activated, all other lights do come on when the door is open. We checked grounds and replaced the plunger in both doors, no luck. Any ideas?

The stereo is original Bose gold with factory speakers. However there is a small toggle switch in the ashtray compartment that makes a slight click in the radio when switched on but doesn't seem to do anything else. Plus there are 2 sets of wires running back from under the dash into the storage compartment to the radio unit, as if something was removed sub or amp? The car is not hacked up and the previous owner was an older guy who didn't seem the deep bass type.
