I have a 90 vert and am upgrading the front to J55 and want to go stainless. Do I need hoses off of a std 90 or a later like a 95 to work with the J55 calipers? I have looked at goodridge hoses for the 90 and they list all exc zr1 and I know the zr1 hd J55 fronts so I am confused.
Can anyone shed some light so I order the correct lines?
Just order the ones for 90 or newer except ZR1. Not sure about the Zr1 lines, but there shouldn't be a difference in length with the other year lines whether for standard 12" or J55 13" brakes. There isn't much difference in the calipers either except the J55's are slightly wider. The brake pads are the same as well. The only advantage to the J55 is that it can absorb more heat due to the larger diameter and thicker 13" rotors.

I have a 1990. I bought 1994 calipers and 13"rotors with the corvette name on it. I bought the ss brake lines for a 1993 corvette. The brake lines have a round end that goes on the calipers. Not the big square ends like the stock one. Does any one know if the ends matter. Thanks doctorg17.

No, the rounded ends don't matter. You just need to hold the end in place when tightening the bolt to the caliper. And just make sure the line is not in any sort of bind when you bolt it to the caliper.
What is the difference in the lines from 92-96? is it just length. My calipers are NOS that are a 95/96 GM part number since those years only ran J55. Planning on getting the 90 stainless lines but this other dude said he used 93 lines on his 90
