Default Gear Change!!

Car goes in today for a change from a 2.59 ring and pinion to 3.54!! I'm getting and TransGo and a tranny cooler installed too, but the gears are the biggest upgrade.

My 95 v6 Mustang has 3.73 gears in it and and it feels suprisingly quick for such a weak car, but I bought it with the gear change done so I never had a chance to compare it with original.

I've heard GREAT things about this change and I'm VERY exicited to get it back (hopefully early next week) is there REALLY a noticable difference?

Could someone who has had this done sort of describe it to me?

If you don't mind sharing - what is the rear end change running? I'm assuming you are keeping the D36 rear and just changing the gears.

Installation for 150 bucks!!!!!!!!! They ever do a vette before?? I paid nearly 500 for my install. You are gonna love the difference though!!!!

Let me describe the difference the best I can. I run a 100 shot of nitrous. My car with motor and gears only feels just like the way it felt with the 2.59's and the juice!! Barely ever open the bottle anymore!!!

I've modded two cars now, my 96 Impala SS (auto trans) and my LT4 Vette (manual trans). For both cars the best mod was changing the gear. For an auto trans car, the other two key mods are a looser torque converter and a shift kit (IMHO).

Bottom line, you're gonna love the gear change, but within a few weeks you'll be dreaming of your next mods.
