Default Knee Panel HELP!

I had no problem removing all of the trim and seats to get the carpet off the floors, I removed the console, I removed the door panels etc., but I still can't figure out how to remove the carpet covered knee panel directly below the bread box and also on the other side under the steering wheel.
I can't find anything in the FSM that details the removal -though I see them for sale on Ebay, so this is a separate piece.
Can anyone tell me where the fasteners are on this panel? Again, not the black panels with the courtesy light, but the carpeted portion.
Thanks in advance.

There are 2 - 1/2" bolts about 2 inchs from the bottom of the panel.. These bolts are inside of holes cut into the carpet..Put your hand down there an feel for the 2 holes, they will be about 3 inchs from the edge of the pad, once you locate the holes get a 1/2" socket on an extention and run the socket up into the hole at a 45 degree angle to undo the bolts. The bolts are about 2 inches up inside the holes. There are also 3 smaller screws around the top of the pad, one on each side of the steering column and one around the left side of the pad..I have not had the passenger side off for a long time, but check for the same kind of setup for that side......WW

Once you get it there and feel the bolt heads you will find things come off nicely. Be sure to "tag and bag" the bolts/screws.

Thanks, I looked and see how the drivers side works now, but the passenger side doesn't have the same bolts through the carpet.
I did find a page in the FSM that seems to show 4 nuts on the back side, so maybe I have to reach up in there to get to them.

You should see all of the blue tape tags on trim and covers and all of sharpie marked bags I had with ALL of the interior carpet out!
