Default Spare Tire Help....

hye guys well i got a flat... and got it fixed.... i had to use my spare tire... The problem i am having is putting it back... The carrier is sitting lower... I think it is in the position for a full size tire... How do i put it back for the Small spare tire... Thanks guys.. :cheers:

Raise the hinged cover to the second position, add spare an lift and secure..

If you look where the carrier attaches/hinges there are two positions. Raise it to the higher one and you'll be good to go. :)

i put it to that second setting.. the problem is the long bolt... it seems really long now... is there a way to raise that???

Oh the bolt, ok. It probably isn't in the right spot. It can easily slip out. You'll have to look at it to really understand what I mean. It can slip back towards the license plate and down out of it's holder easily. If you take the plate off you'll see waht I mean. :)

Rotate it the right way and slip it back up into place.

Might wanna clean yours out while you're down there, mine was absolutely FILTHY! 31,402 miles worth of dirt. :U

It's all spotless now though. One step closer to total Corvette enlightenment. :yesnod: I also put a tire treatment on my spare because it was getting brown everywhere.
