Since we're on the topic of optispark replacement, I've heard you can install the vacuum vents from the later models onto earlier models (i.e you can vent the Optispark on a '92 like you would find on a '95). How easy is that to do?

I used the vented MSD cap and rotor package when I replaced the opti on my 94. Comes with the hose, tees, checkvalves etc. The isolator and cap have the nipples for the hose, so there was no need to drill and tap the base on the opti. No problems so far.

I'm running the same cap and rotor, I did also run a bead of RTV around the cap and isolator. Hopefully that will prevent any oil from leaking in, I need to pull intake and reseal it.

Yep did the same thing, also caulked over the original vent holes (per directions) so that it'd only pull in filtered air...
