Default 84 Ignition switch wires

The ignition switch sitting on top of the steering column has one small brown wire with white stripe. I am installing a Key less entry/start system on my car but I don't know what to do with this wire. I have searched and have come to the conclusion it may be an exciter wire for the alternator but can not confirm. I am thinking it will need to go to a "run" output of the new module. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

According to the 1984 ignition switch wiring diagram that I have, there is a tan/white wire that goes "TO SECURITY WARNING INDICATOR". I assume that's the SECURITY light on the DIC.

The diagram shows that it is only connected in the START position, so I don't know how that works.

There is also a brn/wht 10 ohm resistance wire which branches off the a/c, cooling fan, pwr window circuit (orng wire from the run3 position), that is identfied as "to generator" (could be they meant alternator?).

If there's a link to an install procedure for the system you've bought I believe I'd post that and get opinions. No one knows the brand you've purchased and just what the options are for it. They're NOT all the same. The brand and a link I'd think wise!

This is the system that I bought. http://www.advancedkeys.com/Prod_AK104B.html
It was a real chore to get it installed and semi working. The Brown/white wire I think used to be Tan/white.
I thought it went to the alternator too but I let all the smoke out of it when I tested the system. I think I read somewhere it might be in the same circuit as the park brake. Now I have to follow it back in its conduit till I find some good insulation and try again. I hooked it up with the orange wire. Bad decision. Also I am having difficulty getting the tach programed on this unit. Very nice system for the money. Best value I have found.

I kinda think it may be the wire show at the ignition switch at the bottom of this diagram.
but this picture shows yet another possibility.

Yep, I'm pretty sure that should've went to ground instead of a 30 amp wire. Bad thing was it started smoking and I couldn't get the car to turn off. Always a good idea to read the manual before not after. Gotta hold the button down for a second and a half before it shuts off.
