GS questions
I am looking to buy another vette. I found a GS convertible I am interested in. My question is all the GS's I have seen have a lip over the rear wheels, do the convertibles not have these or was it part of an option.

The convertible GS's did not have the wider rear wheel/tire package as the GS coupe's did because of the need for space to store the top when down. So a Convertible GS will not have the fender flares, unless someone adds them on.

The 96 GS convertibles did not have the "fender flares" on the rear wheel wells. Only the coupes had the fender flares. The coupes also had wider rear tires than the convertibles.

One of the reasons the convertible didn't have the 11 inch rear wheel was because it wouldn't fit in the spare tire carrier,the same reason G.M. didn't build a ZR-1 convertible.
