I have a 1995 coupe and will be gone for the summer. I will put a good cover on it fill the tank with fuel, add stabill. I bought a float charger for the battery to keep it charged until we return in the fall, has anyone had any problems using a float charger to keep the battery charged. also should I leave the windows cracked a little to help dissapate heat. Thanks for any answers.
You didn't mention if this will be in a garage or not. Personally I'd put it into a garage under a cover. Personally I like to unhook the battery for extended periods plus have fluids changed beforehand, pump up the tires etc. If you have mouse issues in your area, I'd put some DCon on a paperplate under the hood and in the inside in case they get in somehow. If the car was in a garage or under shelter, I'd think about leaving the window up, mice around here seem to be able to get inside via the smallest opening.

Is this car being kept outside? I don't recommend long term storage of a car outside with a cover, a good wind storm can wreck havoc on the cover and eventually the paint job of the car, especially if no one is around to keep an eye on the cover. Also you don't want to crack the the windows as even the best covers will leak water during heavy rain. I suggest renting a storage unit for car.
Stabil is not needed for gas if storing for less than 12 months. Best to disconnect the battery during storage, float charge is not necessary if the battery is fully charged to begin before disconnecting.
I'd still want to put a fuel stabilizer in it. It's cheap and can't hurt. Our wonderful ethanol gas is now hydrophilic and will absorb moisture. It can absorb up to 50 times more than the old gas that used MTBE. It absorbs this from the refinery to the fuel truck to the gas station tank all the way to your tank. The water could create an issue with injectors, pumps, etc. A little insurance can't hurt.
