Default Which C4 Convertable

Now that I finish the second corvette for my wife (1992), I am looking to get a convertable for me. What year C4 convertable is the best choice?

The latest ones have the improvements. I believe 94-96 has the glass rear window. The 95-96 have less rattles do to GM modifications.I love my 95. Good luck

Default Which year

Depends on what you can afford. The newer the model, the more enhancements but also more electronics involved.
I bought my 86 because it has less of those things to be involved with so I'm able to do more of the work myself.
Condition is also important in your selection, I'd rather have an older car in better condition than a newer one with more wrong with it.

Just my opinion.

Rolling and 87 Ragtop and lovin it.

I personally prefer the TPI to the LT intake system, it just looks cool, well if your into that whole retro 80's thing anyway.

Any Corvette Vert is fun, best of luck on your decision.

This convertible appears to be well maintained and somewhat rare. A bit on the pricey side but might be worth it:

The "how I can afford" is not a factor. I want one I can still play with, I did work on an 89, I do like the fact I can work on the dist type ignition and the TPI. I now have the means to "hydro Print", similar to what I did to the 92. The TPI would look nice, now I need to find one with the paint in good shape. I can do everything else but the paint.

The 92 has some advantages. The last year where all four tires are the same size, so you can rotate. Also new enough to have the better (IMHO) interior. Has the LT1 engine for who like that. It is a nice conjunction between older C4s and newer C4s.

If you can get one with a good paint job and low miles, then you are set.

I would opt for the 1994-96. I have a 93 and the seats are okay but they really don't fill in the Plastic backs. Then I have a 1994 6 speed....what ever you do buy a standard trans as that makes a world of difference.

The 1993 is an auto and an okay driver but the 1994 is flat out awesome and people can tell.

I have never cared for the Style less (IMO) Sport Seats so I had them replaced with Base Model Replacements cushions and covers.

Love your car... You really got me to hunt harder to have one in my hands.

Default I love my 94

My 94 is rock solid, no shakes and rides smooth. 95 0r 96 would be similar but have Opti with vacumn/drain. LT1 is smooth, LT4 would be nice. I just turned over 24000 miles so it's like new except for years!
