Default Top cable 1985 Corvette

Hey guys, I was just wondering what the black cable going to the top of the throttle body linkage was for? It has a big black box that the cable goes through and it has a gray button. It has an adjustment on it.

This is a 4+3 manual car. Thanks!

The top cable on the throttle body linkage with aqdjustment is for the auto trans usually to control line pressure.???? you should only have the accelerator and cruise control cables with a manual trans both at the bottom of the throttle body linkage.

See the image below, the cable connections can be seen and the only adjustable one is the auto trans cable that goes to the top of the throttle body linkage.(if you have an auto transmission) someone will hopefully clarify with a manual trans.
