I am 95% complete on the 1992, previous owner shared he narrowed it down to the head light module as the problem for the head light not wanting to rotate 100% both on and off. so I tried it to see just how far, half way to on and 1/3 to off. I cycled the switch between the "P" and on position, to turn them off. I need to cycle the switch twice between the parking light to complete off position before they are complete stowned and off. To turn them on, I need to cycle the switch three times between the parking light mode to on position.
While doing this I do not hear an gears grinding or binding sounds, very smooth. So, is the module the reason I need to cycle the switch or the switch itself?
The light switch or the module? I removed the light switch while I was hydro printing the trim around the gauge and remove the module when I removed the inner wheel well.
I have a spare light switch from a friend, I'll swap them out to see if remedy the problem. Thank you.
The Headlight Control Module located on the drivers side front wheel well, is very easy to remove and install.
Yes, I found that when I removed the inner wheel well, mounted with two 10 mm bolts. I was wondering if it could be the switch, I will find out tomorrow when I replace it with another.
This sounds more like either a problem with the pellets in the motor or a bind problem causing the module to power the motor off.. Is it one or both?? Usually if the problem is the module it either works or it doesn't..
