speaker amp
First post on a new Corvette Forum registration. I used to be active on the C3 forum years ago but now I'm back with a 96 LT1. I'm looking forward to participating and learning again.
First question I have is about the failure of the speaker amps. I plan to remove a failed front amp/speaker combo and send it out for repair. My question is;
Can I continue to use the sound system in the car while the unit in question is out for repair? I'm asking because I assume some of the other components are delicate and I don't want to damage anything else.
Thanks for your time.
I wouldn't run an amp with a speaker disconnected but, since our Bose system runs pre-amp (low power) to the amp & speaker, I don't see a problem with using the radio with one amp/speaker absent.
Note: Here I'm assuming your '96 Bose has the speaker & amp together in the enclosure, as does my '88 Bose?
