I just purchased an 87 vette and in the information screen there was a Corvette logo that went across the entire screen. My fan blower wasn't working and I was testing some of the fan wires as described in my manual and when I got back in the car and started it up the logo was gone. I actually thought it was it was a permanent part of the screen but it must have been in the lcd. Any thoughts?
The various accessory catalogs carried a press-in tinted cover with "CORVETTE" on it. The cover had a cloth strip around the outer edge and it acted like a seal.
There was no GM-created logo on the OEM DIC window at any time during the 84-90 production run.
Sounds like the cover you have (had ) may have fallen down and slipped under a seat.
