It is funny how many people in a Prius just seem to have to pass a CORVETTE.
I guess they wind up their rubber band and go like hell just to get by. I have to say I am surprised by how few Vettes that I did see. I did see 3 C4s, one c2, and a couple of c5s and c6s. Hey, I actually saw more old hot rods than Vettes.
If you get a chance to make a trip like this all I can say is go. I wouldn't suggest going west in the southern part of the country since all you will find is miles and miles of more miles and miles. I mean, how interesting is sand and tumble weeds after a while.
The drive down Tahoe was the best day I had. I headed off of US 80 toward the lake and about 15 minutes into the drive it started to snow. It continued all the way along the lake and the views of the trees with fresh snow was absolutely beautiful. And who driving these cars doesn't appreciate a nice twisty dirve.
Good Lord willing, and my cardiologist saying OK, I would like to head east next year. I would like to visit the USS Yorktown since that is where I did most of my time, sort of like wanting to see your first love one more time. Then up to at least DC to go back to the wall and say good bye to one of my pilots that went down in the north in 67. If money holds out I may drive as far as Boston and then wander back seeing place I would like to see.
Seriously, just go.

"Cool story Bro"
I'm just kidding AJ, I wish you many safe travels, and also a salute to you for your service.
This is the exact type thing I want to do, but in an RV. Maybe I'll have to tow the vette... Lord willing. "Later Bro"
