Im an old fart trying to capture my youth also. I bought my c4 2 years ago and am just now driving her. I also reciently purchased a 79 Cadi Coupe in mint condition. Both cars are a dream to drive.

Yall can keep them Fords lol. I did once have a 1968 Thunderbird with a 429, it was a pretty stout car for being stock.

Love the yellow. I'm considering painting my fiberglass bath tub in completion yellow and reglazing the sink and toilet! Other family members disagree, but I'm the one that lives there all the time!

I have been retired one year now form my LEO career must say it is purty darn nice. NY is a 2 plate state but somehow mine never found it's way onto the front, lucky so far. I had a few mustangs, a C3 now a 96. However I always wanted the 89 GTA but never found the right one. Congrats on your retirement, and the vert enjoy them both.

I'm from South Brunswick. If you ever see a red 1985 Corvette with a loud exhaust and Chrome ZR1 rims with wide rear tires you know who it is! Those are my identifying marks! Haha.

WOW I lived in South Brunswick for 17 Years. Just moved less then 2 years ago. Lived off New Rd...

Small World!!!!

What kind of exhaust you running Corsa? My 95 is all original, but I want louder exhaust. Ill enter it in a few shows if I don't win any I may upgrade the exhaust. Would be a shame to change it now. We'll see...

I only moved here in September. I drive on New Road quite frequently. I used to work at a shop in Edison on Amboy Rd.

My exhaust has a few things that have changed the sound of the exhaust. But the exhaust components are Hedman Longtube 1 5/8" Headers, Dynomax True Dual 2 1/4" Exhaust and 2 Dynomax UltraFlo mufflers.

My flat tappet ZZ409 camshaft and 1.6 Roller Rockers also contribute to the sound. And I'm pretty sure my AFR 195 Eliminator heads made a difference in tone too. I was running straight pipes before but everyone was looking at me funny. I could have a conversation in my car, but the people around me couldn't.

We have a lot in common...No front plate for me either. Same taste in cars. I can tell you that 89 GTA never once gave me a problem and was definitely an underrated car. Enjoy your retirement too my brother!!

Default Happy Retirement!!

Happy retirement, brother.

I currently have almost 30 years with the Philadelphia, Pa. Police Department, and am retiring in January of 2015. I am selling the Philadelphia house and moving to my house in Largo Florida, that I currently rent to friends. I recently treated myself and bought an early retirement present.....An absolutely beautiful 1995 Torch-Red convertible, C-4. It has 30,000 miles and is in showroon condition!
Good luck, buddy and live long!

I lived in Largo for two years in the early 80's and I'll always remember the good times I had there.
It's been a year since I retired to sunny Southern California. (Temecula). My retirement present is a 95 soft top auto w 51k on the clock. My baby is in pristine condition and will be participating in the Plastic Fantastic Corvette show next weekend in San Diego.
Happy Retirement!!!
