Managed to save a couple of bucks and was planning the next mod to the '94 when my '92 Geo Tracker decides to die. Had to pay to have it towed to the house ($110) and spent a week troubleshooting the blasted thing - it's my daily driver so the Vette is filling in, during it's absence. Finally found the problem, the ECM burned! According to the local Chevy dealer, a replacement ECM is $1,100 for this car!! Yikes!! Imagine how much I could mod on the Vette for that kind of money. I did manage to find a repair house in Texas that will re-man the ECM ($300 to $450)- I'm holding my breath for the bill. Just gripes me that my plans for the Vette will have to wait until the fall.
Rant off.
 :cry
Still waiting on my Corsa order from TBryne (5 weeks and counting).....was promised in 2!!
Not that the Tracker gets abused or anything - it just isn't my top priority when it comes to maintenance. Guess I spend way more time tinkering on the Vette and expect the Tracker to just keep, keepin' on....never expected the ECM was the fault. Oh well - like you said..........
Sorry to hear. Maybe by the fall you will have won the lottery and you can put any mod out there on your 'vette, use it as a daily driver, and drive your silver Pagani Zonda, Ferrari F575M Maranello, or your 2000 Mustang GT (Just kidding:lol:) Anyway, in all seriousness, I'm sure that you will get everything done with your 'vette in time. At least you have some money to mod it... :smash:
