I plan to. That was just my cell phone on one of those clips to holds on to a dash vent.

Damn, I wish I could get on a race track like Vegas. Only thing around here are short tracks, drag strips and autocross. Here's me in a little circle track drag race vs a 2010 6.0 LS3 powered Camaro in my previous Vette.

Had to take the 95 back to the shop after having new wheels put on. My LTPWS light popped on and I did notice my radio was having weird reception.

They kept it for the better part of the day and I got it back light still on. I did notice that now it goes.out after about 1 or 2 minutes. It wasn' that way before. It' not a big deal but then again return it the way you got it.
I guess if it stays out that is ok.

Replaced the outer window sweeps on my 93 Ruby. My hands look like I was juggling razor blades.

You even have to remove the entire exhaust system according to the factory service manual. In all of my 35 years of working on cars I've never seen a more complicated gas tank replacement job. I'm so sick of working on this car I can't put it into words, it's tempting to just slap some JB cold weld over the leak in the tank and sell the damn thing.
Replacing the fuel tank was the first thing I did to my vette when I got it home. It took maybe 4 hours to get it out, I had never worked on a corvette before that point. Took 2 to get it back in and the " hand through the tail light" thing doesn't work for some one with arms like mine. If I remember correctly there is 18-20 bolts along the rear facia and 6 bolts on the frame. Its easier by a long shot than when I had to replace the one in my 94 Firebird Formula.

Enjoyed it. Drove the p1sz out of it. Seemed like discovering an exhaust note around 95 in 5th. Enjoyed the absence of some minor distractions I'd corrected. Acknowledged (heresy) that stock is enough power for me. Recognized how beautiful I think it is and how much more I like it when I'm driving it than when it's parked and I'm clucking over something else that needs to be fixed. Probably best driving car I've ever had. Nice day with the Vette.

Thanks, I enjoyed reading this post. Regarding your (reluctant) comment about stock power being adequate, speaking just for myself I agree. I don't enjoy absolute power, I enjoy the experience of expertly working all the car's controls. Too much power can reveal any other shortcomings in a car that are not apparent at stock power, sometimes to the point of unbalancing the car (depending on the power level of course). Anyway the C4 chassis is very competent at stock power levels (250-330HP), I think the match is just about perfect.

I also wrung the p1sz out of my 1995 recently, it is so smooth

Not today but, I finally got the pictures loaded.
I needed to replace the top on my 94 LT1 6 speed. Mark at Mirrock Corvette (parts and salvage) sold me a really nice black top with the frame and hardware including an equally nice liner. The funny thing was, according to Mark, when the car came in it didn't have the rear window. No broken glass in the car, just nothing!

That was OK. I just took the window out of the old leaky white top and used Rhino Glue to install it in the top from Mirrock.
Should be pictures below. I like the black better. Let me know what you think.

Sweet! Did yours have all the extra goodies, too? Automatic climate control , Bose Gold w/ cd and tape, fx3, etc.?
Love those rims!

Yes, fx3, auto climate control Bose... basically a twin to yours! Rims were O.E. Z06 repros. IIRC...

On Tuesday I swapped out the headlights on my '96. Car still had the original lights! Guess the previous owners didn't drive in the dark much, lol. Anyways, went with the Hella E-spec H4 lights. Even with the bulbs they came with, light output is really good. I've got better bulbs waiting, I'll drop them in eventually. Best halogens I've ever had, and I've had lots of cars. Nice pattern, lots of width and throw. I'm normally an HID projector kind of guy, but didn't want to deal with a retrofit on this car, and didn't want LED's either. Kind of want to keep the car at least somewhat period correct as well.

Thanks! The plate frame is a tribute to my brother. He has sold cars for his best friends family since he was 18. He is now the GM for two of their dealerships. A true car guy, also. When I got terminal cancer I wanted a corvette. I was looking for C5 or C6 but, it had to come from my bro. Obviously, he doesn't come across many in trade. I gave up on the Vette idea. Nearly a year later he found this car that a buddy was selling. I looked into the car and was amazed at how far the C4's had come. So the wife and I flew out to the San Francisco area to visit, get the car, drive up Rt. 1 then home to GA. I keep the plate frame to honor my brother. I still have the original USA plate holder!

Oh ****, my apologies! It was meant more in jest. Damn, now I feel like an a-hole. I figured you just got her and hand't got the dealer frame off yet(first thing I usually do once I get a car home, haha).
