Tool came in!!!!
Water pump shaft seal tool came in.....got the seal and new optic installed before I had to head off to work for the night. Tomorrow should be the even plugs, run all new spark plug wires to opti, and re-install balancer.

The headlights were installed-after this pic
What kind of masking tape did you use for the striping? Looks great![/quote]
I found this without actually looking for it. It's really good tape. It has 8 pullouts in it. The outside is 1/4" on each side, then 1/16" in the middle.
Worked out real well. It just left a little adhesive that made ridges when I did clear coat. Just meant a little extra sanding. I did four coats of clear so that I could sand and polish without worrying about burning through paint.
This was after I masked the stripe off and before green.

Not today, but this weekend. Replaced the rear Bose speakers with low-cost 6.5" speakers, bypassing the amplifiers while retaining the harness. Required some modifying of the speaker plates (because apparently it was ok in the 80´s/90´s to mess up screw boss design) but the result is good. Front speakers temporarily deleted and I still need a patch harness to get the stereo (which has also been made to fit) to where it's supposed to be but at least it's some sort of progress.

Finished cleaning the mountain of **** out of the garage so I can get it in and out easily now.
Trying to figure out how to do the carrier bearing for the overdrive unit. If I pull the trans the motor is coming out too and I'm building something for it. 50 dollar bearing is turning into a nice project quickly...

I remembered yours having the same decals because I sent messages back and forth earlier in this thread and told you I planned on buying some like those soon. I like how the decals add a different color to it without putting a big racing stripe that I’d probably get bored of soon.

Power steering pump, master cylinder, pads and rotors all the way aound, shocks all the way around then just did oil and filter.
Tomorrow I'm replacing the rack if I can get one on the quick because the power steering pump is stil squealing. And I'm still not getting fluid to the calipers for some reason so gonna replace the brake lines tomorrow and see if that helps it out. Dunno if the brake booster has anything to do with that or not, hopefully I don't have to crawl under that dash. and pull it out.

Replaced the old Die Hard in my 35th Anni with a new Dura Last from AZ.
Tried to start up in prep for a Sun. trip and "click, click". So time to get to work. Along with the new batt. I picked up new bolts and some Si grease for them. Didn't even have to fully remove the side panel to swap batteries. Pretty simple really though think I got enough "exercise" for the day...
Now back to trying to de-fog the rear window in my '89...
Natty, the booster won't effect fluid flow to the calipers.
Did you flush/bleed them in the order specified in the FSM? For example, due to the ABS location my bleed order is RR, RF, LR, LF.

When I recently flushed the brakes on my "new" '89, soon as I cracked open the RR bleeder fluid started oozing out into the drain tube.
Do you have the no bleed issue with all wheels?
I've heard that the ABS can cause issues but don't know how to isolate/diagnose such.

I do now have a little drip on the back of the mc where it meets the brake booster which I didnlt have before.. I can't see if it's coming out of the weep hole of the booster or the back of the mc.
At the moment I'm assuming a bad mc out of the box, but not ruling out I have to swap out the booster too.
It's possible, probable even, that I got a bad mc out of the box. I bought it at pep boys versus NAPA, just because I didn't feel like crossing town. Next time I'll likely cross town for parts . Ha.
Anyway. I'm a day behind now, I was gonna install all of the weather stripping this evening since that came in, but now I'm just gonna relax, this humidity kills me.
