What did you do to your C4 today?

A Mustang passed around me on a single back road, when we were getting on the highway he stopped on the entrance ramp. He "got on it". I passed him in the second lane and left 2 black marks in second gear as I passed him. It has that garden snake on the tail. His girlfriend was laughing hard.....
My 1985 = 383, roller and six speed, lowered with 17x330 rears.
engine dyno at 540+. Car is 2950 lbs.

I drove mine to work. Suffered greatly because I had to get out of it and go to work. Sigh...4 years and three months (not that I'm counting) till my wife and I retire!

Installed another new front spoiler after I broke my other new one parking at Krogers, then just to be sure it worked went out for a cruise and set the cruise control at 110 mph to make sure everything was working.....except for the Bose Gold all was good....

Burning Brakes
After about a 1-1/2 months of being sick I'm finally getting the clutch slave fixed, and while I'm at it....
I noticed the rear needs 3 seals... So I'm putting 4.11s in it, seals, new u-joints for the half shafts, drain plug, etc. I'm going to change the brake fluid also. There may be a few more things added.
PS
Differential is out. 38/11 ring/pinion, matches the GM3 RPO the car has.
For those that claimed I'm stupid, and my car does not have a D44 here is picture of my "D36" batwing.

What did I do on the C4 today? I've been working faithfully on it every single day after work and every weekend. My wife has been very supportive but my house lacks maintenance. I need to hire either a mechanic or a handyman. Lol.
Anyway, I've been replacing my interior. I purchased a mass-back carpet kit and have been sound-proofing and chasing rattles. Its coming together pretty well but has been a lot more work than I expected. Today I removed carpet from the center console side-panels and both hush panels. It took ALL day to get the carpet unstuck and that thick yellow glue-from-hell off the plastic! I figured out a fast and easier way to remove the stuff on the last panel. Its amazing how sticky that stuff is after 25 years. Tomorrow I'll be gluing/stapling the new carpet back on and reassembling the center console.
By the way, even just sitting in my garage, I'm amazed how much more solid the interior feels with all the tightening, adjusting, and squeak/rattle mitigating. I'm so excited to get it back on the road to hear the difference.

Best $900.00 I ever spent. (pressure regulator, carb, manifold & Distributor)
I was bored, so I put in a 6 speed.
Then fixed the A/C.
Now the fuel tank keeps going empty. And the tires are wearing out.
+ the air cleaner is cheaper :0 ...

90 Vert new Bilstein B8 sport shocks, bled the brakes, and put a drain plug in the tranny pan. Had to drop the X-Brace to do the pan and now have a damn rattle on right turns from the brace. Any suggestions on getting rid of the rattle???

I used the Richmond 6 speed with .6 overdrive. I would not use it again. Shifting is not real soft, 1-2 easy, 2-3 takes more effort than I like , but is quick - but it will never break. I changed the rear to 3:55 also. I would go Tremic as I did with my 71. The ZF is a great choice.
I dropped the car 1". It's a blast to drive.
Picture is 2 years old, I've upped the engine and had the wheels cleaned up by a local wheel shop. He redid the flange dings and polished the rims, they came out amazing.
The air cleaner goes through the hood into the "427" scoop which I bonded to the stock hood. Same as the 67 L88 hood did. The motor likes the colder air.

They are 17" AMERICAN RACING, . Polished.
They are 15 years old, hard to find as they don't make them any more.
thanks
hood scoop is an actual 67 - 427 scoop. Bonded and filleted , painted semi gloss black

this years work ...radio repair ( not Boise) and tires / rims after refinish .. it was cheep..(refinish).. compared to new rims...
The rims are AR.
I have seen the rims on E bay and Craig's List. They were not located close enough to go look at - so I passed on them. They would cost almost as much as I paid for the car....
This was / is a low buck fun ride - that kept getting to be faster & more fun every day.
I want to spend less than what my buddies loose in value on their "new" cars each year. So far so good. Lass than 1/4 $.
Enjoy the ride - most important part of the day....
