Steering wheel

The only down side is the adjuster to move the wheel toward the dash or to the driver is fixed now to how i like it, the wheel can still tilt up.
The steering column shaft spline is slightly different, I filed one of the steering shaft splines to fit the later model wheel. I have most the parts to make the airbag work except the later column.
Just do not like the United States airbag sensors, they are set to activate at even a minor collision due to the lack of people in the United States wearing seat belts.
Here in Australia where wearing seatbelts was compulsory since the early 70's, we have airbag sensors that deploy at higher G forces.
I clearly remember visiting a panel shop where a Volvo had a perfect makeup and lipstick marks on the deployed airbag, the damage was so minor a broken turn signal lens a scape on the bumper and a small dent in the fender there was no need for airbag deployment there
.
The seatbelt is the first safety device, only when the impact is serious enough should the airbag deploy.
Ten years ago i had an idiot drive thru a stop sign, i collected him with my company vehicle at around 40-50 kmh after braking and the airbag didn't deploy the seatbelt did its job and i was not injured.

Thanks for the input! I just wanted to confirm it was possible before I posted a wanted ad for a wheel on here. The early airbags are very dangerous also. They deployed with a serious amount of force, typically hurting the occupant more than if it had not gone off. When I sold cars for Chrysler a few years back they had their system set so that if you were wearing the seatbelt the airbag would determine the speed to deploy the airbag based on the speed of the car. Or if you did not have a seatbelt on it would come out full force. I just don't get it, why would you not wear a seat belt? I don't feel safe without the seatbelt on, I have to put it on, it's like a habit. PUT YOUR F**KIN SEATBELT ON! Insurance premiums are probably higher here because of those people too.....
