Replacing my cracked windshield, there's a rubber weatherstrip that runs along the edge of the dashboard where it meets the glass. Mine is weathered and cracked, so I wanted to replace it while I had the opportunity.
This stuff looks like something that came off of a roll - has the remains of two-sided tape on the back. Can't find anything about it in my service manuals. Anyone have an idea what to use to replace it?
Someone had a similar question concerning windshield replacement recently which I replied to in detail mentioning certain special tools needed to do the job. One of the ZR-1 guys chimed in and corrected me stating he just pushes a machete down between the dash and the windshield and cuts the bead loose along the bottom of the glass. Who's going to argue with a former king of the hill?
The correct material is NLA from GM. It does have its own PN but I couldn't find any remaining when I had the windshield replaced in my ZR-1 a few years ago. I think the installer just left it out and it looked fine.

Thanks, going to check with the dealership tomorrow and figure out what to do from there.
