Default Retro TPMS

I found a nice set of C6 thin spoke 18" & 19" wheels with tires and sensors. I have not been able to find a display that would make the system work. Is there a practical way to accomplish this. I tried to search but found mostly comments about how the C4 systems are not worth the hassle. I can see the need for the system as I can't tell from looking at them if they are at the recommended pressure of 36 lbs.front and 30 lbs. rear.
Thanks

In searching the C6 forum I found this tool

http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/...ring%2BSystems

that looks like it will do what I am after and surprise it is $30 delivered!
It may have been designed to function occasionally not constantly like a true monitor but if it works I think i'll be happy.

Your link ends up at the Tire Rack" home page. What item is it that you see?

If it's the "close out" for GM - that will NOT do anything for you. The "in car" GM for your car can NOT recognize the later generations of TPMS. You need an aftermarket package that will include also a monitor for you to use a TPMS with those wheels. I don't believe there's a monitor that can be purchased that will recognize those TPMS in other than an OE system.

Hey Dave!
It is a CUB TPMS Trigger tool. I don't know why the link lead to their home page but from the description it is what I am looking for.
My car has no monitor, I would use the tool daily to check the pressure,
not constantly as I drive.

Well I doubt that you will be very happy with it BUT it's inexpensive. That appears to require being placed in a particular position to scan the sensor and I'm going to guess that by the time you get one scanned you would have been able to do the check of all with an accurate gauge. That $30 will buy a very good gauge and would I believe in the end be much more user friendly.

If you do it be sure to post back.

I see Jamestown NY as "location" now. No one knew where Kiantone is?
