Interior Noises
I was trying to quite the interior on my 94 the other day, something I do not do often enough.
Off came the top, it definitely needed a cleaning around the edges. A lil mild soap and water took care of that. Then I brought out the Amorall Protectant Gel, it is real thick stuff and I had it sittin around for years. I used a small paint brush and slathered that stuff on, let it sit, then slathered some more on. Tidied up the areas after lettin it sit. Be sure and identify the contact points, it was not obvious to me at first. Also check for any abrasion in those areas. I left a heavy coat on the contact points.
Then I checked all fasteners in the interior, it will take more than just a Phillips screwdriver nowadays with all the new fasteners.
Yea, this takes time, is not very exciting, adds no more horsepower, but what a difference in interior noise.
I just hope I did not upset my opti ....
