Anybody use any of a variety of leak stop products or other fluid conditioners/enhancers? Local quick change establishment recommends Lucas products. Yeah or nay.
tried the Lucas on my 91 chevy pick up. Had a leaking hose.(power steering) Worked for about a week, if that. buy a new hose and save some money. ww7 is right, correct it.
...if maintained correctly...shouldn't need additives or leak anywhere....fix everything permanently....then you can drive it like you stole it...
I've used additives in many vehicles, sometime they work miracles, sometimes they don't. No Leak has worked for me in a couple power steering pumps, and ATP has cured a timing cover seal.
I have a tiny amount of oil accumulation in 2 spots on drivers side in space between valve cover and intake. Hate the thought of dismantling for such a minute bit of oil. But I was talking in generalities with this post. I'm wanting to eventually put on shiny logoed covers down the road so thinking stop gap for the time being.
