I bought 2 10 ft 2x12's at home depot. Cut two at 5 ft, two at 3ft and one at 2ft. Made ramps to get on to my plastic ramps. Cost me $20.

Im with you on this Cliff , plus no one else has ever touched brakes on any of my cars since I was 18 years old...Screwing up brakes can kill you...
I can have my car on jackstands in about 2 minites by using a floor jack on each side of the car, and there's plenty of room for my 6'2 250 lb azz under the car...There really is no good excuse not to change your own oil..........WW

Yes, there's something very satisfying about draining old oil and adding fresh synthetic oil and premium filter in my sports car, and doing it exactly right.

I enjoy mowing, and changing the oil in my mower every year.

You can just get some pieces of 2x8 and roll the car up on those to get a bit more clearance.

That's pretty cool! But how do you remove the plug *while* there's a drain pan under it? Doesn't seem to be enough room under my car for a drain pan and my fist gripping the plug.
