Default Blower

went on about a hundred mile run today, to a cat sanctuary. On the way down my blower started making noise. then on the way home it quit then would restart so for most of the trip home the car got hot inside as no blower no ac.

Default cat

this morning i went to take my granddaughter to work and heard a strange noise sounded like either a shield had came loose or an exhaust leak when at idle. took it to my exhaust shop, it made the noise until the mechanic went to go under the car while on the lift. then he put on gloves and tapped the exhaust the noise came back its the converter so now i have to replace the converter and the blower, this blows.

Blower motor is a $50 part and an easy repair you can do yourself. The need to relax the inner fender to allow room for the motor to come out. Swap the squirrel cage onto the new motor and just reinstall, make sure you pay attention to the rubber drain tube on the underside. Its a 40 min Job tops. while you are there clean out the blower box.

Sounds like "penetrating oil" may be needed.

i removed my inner fender but Im sure you can take out a few bolts and push it of the way. Does not take much to remove it. i bough one 3 weeks ago at advance it was like 38 bucks with the fan installed just pull the old one out and install the new one

Default blower/ plug change

wound up pulling the wheel, so while i had the wheel and inner fender off i decided to go ahead with a plug and wire change, whoever designed these things need shot, even with all of this out of the way it was still a PITA to change the plugs, I used extensions swivels and wrenches, glag the plugs i put in are supposed to last longer than the car..... never want to change plugs on the pass. side again.

Cat sanctuary? That's not like a cat house, is it?
No-Sorry, too many comedians on line today.

If it's the blower it should be a fairly easy fix but if it's the controller (resistor array in early c4s) it could be a bit more difficult. The noise would suggest the motor or something rattling around in the squirrel cage.
