temp issue?

temp issue?
couple of
questions I need help on. First is , was cruising around town the other evening, and noticed temp rose to 260, it did go back down to 240 after I was able to clear some traffic. Is this about the norm for C5's or should I be checking something? Fluids an all seem at proper levels? Also, I have an 03 convertible and it seems like everytime I want to put the top down, press yellow button, nothing happens and I have to pull the little steel cable, this is an intermittent problem! Annoying, anybody else had this? remedies? thanks much, Tom

Tom, You may want to post this in the C5 sec. But My C5 never got above 240 in traffic. You may want to check the radiator and opening under the front and be sure it is clean and clear of leaves and junk.
