Blinking LCD dash. HELP

Blinking LCD dash. HELP
Let me start by saying there is no engine in my car just got done doing ENTIRE interior . on my LCD the center lens (feul, temp,ect) was in bad shape. so I removed it and unsuccessfully tried to make the film on top look better (I cracked it
) BUT put it all back together and it looked great except for the cracked part (small) Until tonight I turned key to on to work on stereo stuff and the dash was "blinking and flashing " lcd was jumping all around. Now I was going to replace the broken lens anyway but now why is it acting like this now after weeks of appearing correct. I checked the grounds that I have rigged together just to get it to light up with out the engine in it . I just hope I didn't "F" up the whole LCD unit trying to fix and clean it up .

More likely that the connectors between the two PC boards have some bad solder connections. It's also possible that the power supply is bad. It converts the 12 volts from the car to 5 volts to run all the electronics in the dash.
