Both my ZR-1's have far exceeded my expectations. Great performance , gas mileage (not that I care). Maintenance has been minimal, $ spend were my choice..more power!!

How about you?

I had a Vette in high school. It met my expectations, but it apparently exceeded those of my parents, as they made me get rid of it after a month or so!

Fast forward to age 66-Now retired and my wife and I are in Florida. We have a 68 GTO I have been working on for 12 years-great car. But we no longer have a shop to work in. We need a "turn key" car. I had been mentally debating a Vette for a year-Have back problems-do I need more pains? Why do I need this impractical car? And on and on the argument went! One day on-one day off! Then I wake up on the morning of Jan. 21, 2014 and all is clear-today I buy a Vette. Long story short-WE ID!

A 94 Vert, LT1! We like it so much had to get the wife on-also a 94 Vert! And on top of that we found a "barn find", '72, vert/hard top we are restoring!

To say the least our expectations have been met! They are more fun at our age then just about anything else! Great physical and mental therapy!
My advice-take on Vette PRN! Expectations will be met or exceeded!

I wasn't really into Corvettes all that much until I spent a summer working at a Chevy dealership as a salesman, wish I had stayed there. At the time I was driving a 98 Z28, which I liked very much. But that dealership hosts annual Corvette shows, and I was there for one of them. I got a close look at some the C4's and really liked that design. Couple of years later, I happened upon a local C4 for sale at a local specialty dealer on autotrader. The thing was beautiful.

I was a little leary of going backward from the lS1, but the Vette had the "Grand Sport" engine. I had no idea what that meant, (LT4). But the interior and the generall feel of the car was so intoxicating compared to the f-body, I just had to do it. I later learned all about the LT4 and felt much better about trading the LS1 F-Body.
