Today I got The Ghost back on the road, and this exhaust
system impressed me.
First I took few shots of the whole system because this system
is brand new based on the stickers on it. It is also different from
other Corsas I've seen, and others pictures posted in here throughout
the years.
This system was a breeze to install. It was so damn easy that I
stopped because I thought something was wrong. Nothing was
wrong, what happened was I was not wrestling with this system l
ike I used to do with that POS magnaflow. All bolted in place,
nothing rubs, and the O2 bung was in the right place, and in
the right angle. This is one of those times that it really shows,
and feels that you do get what you pay for.
-Here the system looks identical to all those posted here before.
-This is a big deal for 96 Vettes. If that bung is not in the right
place/angle it would create trouble, and you would have to plug
the original, drill, and weld a new one.
-Here it is, this muffler is actually not like other Corsas I've seen. Look
how the main pipe is thru, but there is a new chamber that connects
the mufflers with the second tail pipe.
-I bought that jack adapter long time ago, and now I can use it. I could
never use it with the 3" tubing.
Here it is how it sounds at idle, and at 70 MPH.
For more information regarding Corsa Systems for C4 visit their
website. They also offer a system with black tips.
- nice write-up (w/pics). I've installed four corsa systems, and never had an installation issue (number five sitting here ready for installation). magnaflow hardware, on the other hand, well, I've had issues....
My Corsa muffler, has that extra pipe feeding the muffler chamber and the insides of both mufflers tips have the slot cut outs just like your pictures...
Is the pipe circled in white, what you're referring to?...
now i have to wait untill i get home to see the pics of the new mufflers, firewall here won't let them thru. saving up my va diasbility checks to get new arh headers and corsa exhaust, almost there.

I guess I can not see inside the muffler, but ; Do you have those four holes on the inside? I have an older ZR-1 set, and they do not have them.

I know the feeling. Had to save money for a while, and actually all was cheaper than I budgeted for months ago. Eventually I thought there were bent valves, and I was lucky. The heads, and pistons had ZERO damage.
Those savings were the reason I had the cash to buy this system.
I know it has been a year and also you have a C5 now, but can you tell the response difference from going down in pipe size to 2.5" or is the power pretty much about the same?

There is a difference in mid-range torque, but the Vette is working smoother. It responds better at all times. I drove it again today, and this little beast loves to devour the road with the tires.
The Nitto NT05 are no match for the 383. The Good Years were too expensive, but they handled better as long it was warm, and dry. On the rain the Good Years did great driving on water puddles, there was no hydroplaning.
Great write-up. Unfortunately I opted for the OBX system and now have almost as much money in this crap as if I had just waited another month. Oh well, Sh#4 happens.
