If that code is flashing on your dash, its SYS for system. And the short is a low voltage draw if it takes 48 hours to die. Is this a one time event or numerous? I'd be looking for a light staying on. My wife's F150 radio would randomly come on by itself and kill the battery. I finally had to hard wire it out of the timer.

You need to check what the trouble code is. SYS is similiar to a check engine light. Go to this site, write down the codes and report back here for help. http://tech.corvettecentral.com/2011...trouble-codes/

Before you start chasing a short - how long was your hitch? While you were away was the car on a float charger? How old is the battery? If you left for more than a few weeks and the car was not on a charger and the battery is more than a few years old - you may have killed the battery. Have it checked at your local -insert name here- auto parts store.

SYS means problem with charging system - bad battery, bad alternator, short.

Boxcar chiming in,

When I stored it, it was always on a trickle charge. I believe the battery is 4 year or greater in age. Never had an issue thou. You sir, are gone for long periods of time. You might invest in a trickle charger or disconnecting the battery when gone.

I will throw this in, as a place to begin. The cargo hatch. Before you took delivery, I adjusted the latch upward to ensure the cargo light would go out. Replaced the bumper stops and everything seem fine and secure. Check to make sure that has not once again needs adjustment.

Hope all is well...Boxcar

This error code list is targeted to your exact year (they did change from year to year):
