IDK what we're looking at in the pic...part of a lift...which part?

I'd lift it from the recommended lifting points under the rocker panels.

In the picture you can see one of the posts, one of the lift arms, height extensions, and a bracket for the extensions.

As for the recommended lift points I don't know where they are. I am guessing they are shown in the owners manual I don't have.

The lift points are molded into the lower rocker panel. There are triangular indicators and sometimes ignorant people put the jack in the wrong place (so close, yet so far):

As stated the points are molded into the rockers. lift from those 4 points.

Before lifting pop the hood and leave it cracked. open both doors and leave them cracked. These cars don't like being lifted and if you don't crack the doors and hood before lifting they will not open.

What ^these guys said, except that you don't need to open doors and hoods. Look at the rocker, it's marked/molded into the rocker lip.

After spending a grand on a roof for my baby, I always take the targa off when I am jacking just one part of the car up.... I treat the C4 like the wet noodle that it is when it comes to that overpriced plastic top.

Lift points on the car are labeled. Make sure you don't hit the floorboard, like one of the previous owners did with my car.

Thanks for the advice.
Now I just need to finish getting the engine installed so I can move the car out and install the lift.
