Does anyone besides Goodyear make run flats (extended mobility tires) that will fit a C4. I have a 95 coupe and can't find anything besides the GSCs. :chevy :
If you have the 285 rears, the only other tire is BF Goodrich G-force KDW SS (Self Supporting) which is run-flat. The "w" is for wet. I have them on the rear. I think they are a good all-around tire(daily driver). The wear rating is better than the GSC. They are cheaper too. The only negative comment I have is that the thread is not as attractive as the GSC. However, it kicks azz in the rain. http://www.tirerack.com

Dump the spare and get run flats(Goodyear). Price is high but it's like insurance.

Ive also heard that the run flats make a vette drive like a tank too. I really like the way the standard GSC's I have now handle. Will the GSC EMT run flats be the same or like the aforementioned tanks? Id gladly pay the extra buck$ for the peace of mind but not at a total loss od performance (My GSCs are basically new now anyway though so it would be way off in the future).
Yep - and when you look at them you will be able to see that the rubber is ribbed for more driving pleasure!
Also if you kick the sidewall and break your toe, it's a EMT.
Those side walls are rock hard. The stiff sidewall gives a horrible ride on rough roads and your 60ft times will suffer.
I would have to agree with you. I have Run Flats on my 93 and I will never put another pair back on. The ride is horrible, feels like your tires are made of wood. Though I do like the feeling of safety when it comes to getting a flat and being able to drive on it, it's not worth the harsh ride (IMHO).
Mine are Pirelli P7000's. They are considered run-flats by Pirelli if and only if you have the low tire pressure warning sensors strapped around the wheels, and the LTPWS receiver works. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....000+SUPERSPORT
Run Flats cost more than its worth. You can have 2 whole sets of tires for 1 set of those runflats. I'll take my chances and keep the spare. I don't think its reasonable to have runflats unless you don't care about wasting money or your made of money.
With run flats and the "tour" setting on the FX3 it rides like a caddy. In "Performance" bumps are rough, but I still wish there were a stiffer setting.
The run flats cost me about $50 more per tire than a non run flat. Mounting the tires were another $50 per tire.
