My parking brake handle assembly has a couple broken teeth. Living in Maricopa county AZ I have little use if ever for my parking brake. I am never parked on a grade. I will be moving to Seattle at the end of the year and I am taking the Corvette. So I need to replace my parking brake handle assembly. Are they the same from 1984-1989 ?

NO - you need an '88 or newer. The lever changed at the same time the rear brake design changed.

Thanks buddy. I almost bought one off a 1987 C4. I'm going to Los Angeles in 2 weeks. There are a couple corvette salvage yards in the LA area. Maybe I can buy one for $30.
