Just checking in
Been a couple of months now since I sold my '95 and purchased my 2000 vert. Couple of observations. Of course I miss my 95, a lot of fun to drive, and I put so much effort into the restoration, it was special to me. Got a lot of attention everywhere I went. The 2000, very smooth power, fun to drive with the 6 speed, but you don't feel the road in the C5 the way you do in a C4. Both have their pro's and con's. But I will have to say that after tasting the power of the LS1, to go back to a C4 I think I would have to find me a ZR1. The C5's are way more electronic than the C4's, and with that comes way more difficulties in trouble shooting and maintenance. 3 book factory service manual instead of 2 for the C4, that alone should tell you something.
Pulled up next to an '88 last night, I was in my truck, and the guy had really hopped up his C4, sounded real good. Took me back. Any generation Vette in my opinion is a great car to own.
Going from the C4 forum to the C5 forum was seamless. Great group over there. Many former C4 owners, no bashing that I have seen, no reason to.

The C4's are awesome and I will probably be back in one some day, maybe move up to a C6 first, they are pretty awesome as well.
Anyway, you may not need a ZR1.
