wing nut thread type? jack handle
Hello, does anyone know what thread and size the wing nut/or stud is for the jack handle (behind drivers seat)? The wing nut I have appears to be boogered up. I want to run a tap through it. I looks almost like a 1/4-28 but I dont know for sure.

Home Depot and Lowe's have hardware sections that have thread gauges in the form of studs and nuts so you can figure out what size you need. I suggest taking your wing nut there and testing it. If the threads on the wing nut are too messed up then the next step would be to find a nut that fits on the jack handle mounting stud and then go to Home Depot or Lowe's.
