Street racing
Bit off more than I could chew..
Getting my *** Stomped by a suped up 2500 Duramax Diesel.
We were turning left at the intersection, and I knew what he was doing the right lane terminates and I knew he was going to try and cut me off and dart in... so I got on it straight away made the left, and made him eat dust. Or so I thought....
Then he stomps on it after making the turn, and I've already got about a fifty or sixty foot head start on him at this point and gaining... blew right by my *** like I was standing still on the right side... flicks the signal gets into the left lane and leaves my ***.
With as fast as he hit 100+ mph and in short of a distance as he did it in, I'd say he was pushing at least 700 horses. Was about like what would happen if I raced a ZX14 who decided to give me a head start I swear.
Sure enough on his backglass there was a bullydog, and gale banks sticker, and I knew I got suckered...HARD.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

I'm not going to jail because most of the time a punk wants to race me.
I agree with *****, this thread is stupid.
With the guys above.....Also, Removing the "no street racing storys" from the Forum Rules was one of the dumbest things ever done on this forum...
...Well ,that and letting guys dig up old threads and post on them wasn't the best move either..

That said, I love to accelerate from a traffic signal, sometimes there is another driver next to me who has a similar urge...
After completing a run, the driver got a time slip but there were no MPH/ET signs - they were blank so only the driver knew what he ran.
Well, money talks and someone always would say, "I got 20 bucks and I'll spot you three-tenths" – or whatever. It was always a gamble since one never knew if the other guys were sand bagging or not. Well, in all honesty, everyone was sand bagging a little - LOL. Anyway, the starter would dial in the three-tenths difference on the tree and then the race was on. Who won the race got the twenty bucks. That was about a day’s wages back then.
Try that on any track today.
Like others have said above – race enough and you will get hosed – sooner or later you will get whooped! One of the best was a guy who had a W-30 Olds – 350 cubic inches and he took home a lot of money. Seems they also had another Olds – same burgundy color but that one had a 455 in it – they just switched identical cars. LOL!
My advice – don’t race on the streets. You are looking for serious trouble, legally and personally. Lot of younger guys never made it to becoming an older guy.
383vette – I’ll comment once more – one hellva launch bud!
