Just purchased 96 collector edition, had to have water pump and optispark replaced (knew this up front). Only 83K, everything is good, however there is a small l shaped crack in top left of windshied prev owner had repaired does not leak no real issue, however if I want to replace this in the future what does a replacement windshield run?

I'm considering replacing the windshield in my '85 because the glass is rather old and has a ton of scratches making it look cloudy.
I got a quote from Safelite for $270 installed. I'm believe the glass is the same for all c4's.
Keep in mind you may need to replace your weatherstripping when you get the glass swapped out.

Do a few searches on here for windshield replacement.
Very important to make sure whoever you choose has done a C4 before.
These older cars are not like the modern ones, and some of that windshield molding is very fragile and hard to come by if they damage it.
There are a few horror stories over the years about this.

I was considering purchasing a C4 that needed a new windshield so I called a auto glass shop that does a lot of C4s to get a ballpark estimate.
Where the glass would be about $325, the cost could skyrocket if the weatherstrip and mouldings needed to be replaced. Somewhere between $900 - $1300.
