hey guys, im mid-repair and having trouble finding a piece i need, im replacing my optispark, dist cap and rotor. i got a rebuilt opti, and a delphi cap/rotor kit but neither part came with the plastic cover that sits between the distributor and the cap (the plate with the rubber seal on the outer portion. and the seal is wiped out. i called my local chevy/gm dealer and he says they list a cap, rotor, and distributor and thinks what i need is included with the distributor and the aftermarket guys dont list this seal seperately or with either part. anyone have a part # for the seal or the whole cover if thats the way the seal comes? any info appreciated - bob
Here is a link to a cheap cap, rotor and cover on Ebay - you could just use the adapter and keep (or toss) the rest.

Yeah I have been there a couple of times myself. Right now mine has been on ramps and jack stands in the driveway for the whole summer. The opti went again this spring so I decided to do a bunch of other things while I had it apart. Well one thing led to another (and life got in the way) but I am still not finished. A couple of times this summer I had to stop when I was on a roll to order parts and supplies I did not foresee needing. Hopefully I'll be finished in the couple of weeks. Just in time for winter.
