Got all of the molding screws cleaned and painted. Spring clips cleaned, straightened and painted. Now time to put it back together after a steel wool scrub on the molding mounts.

Where did you get your moldings from? Were you happy with them? Are they like Oem?

Haha! Well I think I am pretty much done for now. Just waiting for the car to get back. Have the wheel wells to paint but I'll wait until it warms up some and I can do them in the garage. Going to have to start planning the re-assembly.

After detailing my car this weekend I took a picture and noticed the wheel wells were dirty. Dang it.

Uh oh... I hate that, when you think you have a great photo then realize it's not. But that's what photoshop is for right? Lol

Photoshop, ahh yes, in my past I've played with it.

No, after spending a couple hundred on detailing supplies in the past couple weeks, dammit I want it perfect.

I'll prolly end up hosing it down really well, brushing it, and that'll be that. I have actual mechanical things I need to be doing!

Ordered hood struts the other day; they're supposed to arrive Friday, just in time for my weekend warrior workshop. Ooof ooof MANCAVE!

I asked about the cad plating because a buddy of mine (former buddy, actually) used to do that religiously. Then again, he was working on helichopters.

I would if I could because I like the benefit of it. But I'm not too worried being that it's a fair weather car and garage kept.

While I was able to reuse 99% of the hardware on the car the door lock clips and retainers in the doors were not reusable. They were either rusted beyond use or bent and broken, or both. Tiny little parts that "keep it together" in your doors. New ones came in today.

Also got my door mains today. Woo hoo. Wait, its not so exciting without the car....
